Install the app

How to install ColdPlayer+ on your device. Installation differs by device type: on phones and Android tablets you download and install the APK directly. On FireTV and other Android TV devices controlled by remote, you use the Downloader tool. Pick your device type below.

Download the app

Open the download page on this website on your device and tap "Download app". The APK file will be downloaded.

Install the APK

Tap the downloaded APK file. If Android blocks unknown sources, allow installation in the settings and return.

Google Play Protect warning

On some devices Google Play Protect shows a warning that the app is not verified. ColdPlayer+ is safe: the app does not access personal data and does not send any information to third parties. Tap "Install anyway" to continue.

Launch the app

Open ColdPlayer+ after installation. On first launch the device registers automatically and a 14-day trial begins. The app shows a notice that no playlist is set up yet.

Activate the device

Activation is done via the "Activate" menu on this site. You can see the license status (trial or activated) and your device ID in the app under Information. There are two durations: 1 year or forever. Via the "Activate now" link the device ID is sent to the activation page automatically; if you open the page directly you have to enter the device ID manually. After payment the app activates automatically within a few minutes.

Allow unknown sources

Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options → set "Install unknown apps" to ON.

Install the Downloader app

Open the Amazon Appstore on your FireTV, search for "Downloader" and install the app.

For Downloader to be allowed to install APK files, it must be explicitly enabled as a source for unknown apps: Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options → "Install unknown apps" → select Downloader and turn the switch ON.

Enter the APK URL

Open Downloader, enter the download URL (e.g. coldplayer.eu/coldplayer.apk) and confirm with Go.

Tip: Downloader code

Instead of typing the full URL with your remote, you can enter the code 7915605 in Downloader. It automatically redirects to the APK file — much easier with a remote.

Install the APK

Downloader downloads the APK file and opens the installation dialog. Confirm the installation.

Open ColdPlayer+. On first launch the device registers automatically and a 14-day trial begins. The app shows a notice that no playlist is set up yet. Activation is done exclusively on the website — see the "Phone & Tablet" tab for details.

Check license status

The trial lasts 14 days and starts automatically on first app launch. Whether your device is in the trial or already activated can be seen in the app under Information.
